Elliot Gilbert, Washington and Lee, Fr., Goalkeeper

Gilbert, a freshman from Bedford, N.Y., got some valuable big game experience and responded with two wins over top competition last week. Gilbert came away with seven saves and two ground balls in a 7-5 road win at Christopher Newport. She then helpe the Generals' trounce then nationally fourth-ranked Franklin & Marshall, 9-3, with six saves, six ground balls, and four caused turnovers at home in Lexington. The wins helped W&L move up to #12 in the IWLCA weekly poll. For the season, Gilbert owns a 3.60 goals-against-average with 15 saves and a 62.5 save percentage in 150 minutes in the cage.

Women's Lacrosse Honor Roll

Madison Iandoli, Guilford (Fr. - D)
Iandoli scored three times and caused a turnover in a 14-7 setback to Meredith.

Maddie Koontz, Lynchburg (Sr. - M)
Koontz scored three times with three ground balls and three draw controls in a 16-12 win over Frostburg State. She added one goal and three ground balls in a 15-2 loss at Mary Washington.

Alicia Hsieh, Randolph-Macon (Jr. - M)
Hsieh set a new Randolph-Macon program record with nine goals scored and two assists in a 20-11 season-opening win at Frostburg State. She added two ground balls, three draw controls, and two caused turnovers.

Courtney McCartin, Roanoke (Sr. - A)
McCartin registered seven points on four goals scored and three assists with two caused turnovers in an 11-10 loss at Meredith.
