Lynchburg Places Two on NSCAA Women's Soccer All-American Teams

Sadowski Named to First Team, Dupuy a Second Teamer

KANSAS CITY, Kans. --- Lynchburg College and the ODAC were represented by a pair of players on theNSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division III Women's All-America Team. Defender Rachel Sadowski (pictured) was tabbed to the first team for the second straight season, while forward Dessi Dupuy earned on a spot on the second team, marking her first All-American laurel.

Sadowski, a senior from Lewes, Del., is a two-time All-ODAC First Team honoree in addition to multiple all-region accolades.  She had two goals and four assists in 2013 and was a huge part of the Hornet defense that allowed just 13 goals in 24 matches, good for a .582 goals-against-average and 26th-best in NCAA Division III.

Dupuy, a junior from Lynchburg, Va., is a three-time All-ODAC First Team selection in addition to earning the 2013 ODAC Player of the Year award.  She led the ODAC in both goals scored (23) and overall points (53).  For her career, Dupuy is already #2 all-time in the ODAC in goals scored with 77, just two behind former LC standout Karen O'Connor (1996-99).  Dupuy is also sixth in points with 173.
