Barnes, a sophomore from Elgin, Ill., helped lead Roanoke to a pair of conference wins over Randolph and Virginia Wesleyan. Barnes opened her week with a career-best four goals in a 6-0 win over the WildCats. The four tallies tied RC's single-game scoring record. She followed that up with one of two goals in the Maroons' 2-0 win over the Marlins. Roanoke has now won four straight games, all coming in conference action. Barnes leads the team with 12 points on six goals.
Women's Soccer Honor Roll
Morgan Hill, Eastern Mennonite (So., Midfielder -
Martinsville, Va.)
In a 1-1 week for the Royals, Hill notched a goal and an assist in
a 6-0 win against Sweet Briar. She currently leads the ODAC
with eight assists.
Ashlie Caldwell, Emory & Henry (Sr., Midfielder -
Blue Ridge, Va.)
In a 1-1 week for E&H, Caldwell nailed a free kick between the
keeper and the crossbar from just outside 18-yards away for a 1-0
win over Randolph-Macon. The win marked the first for the
Wasps over R-MC since 2008.
Becca Logan, Hollins (Sr., Forward - Culloden,
W.Va.)
Logan helped Hollins to a pair of conference wins over Sweet Briar
and Randolph. She notched a pair of goals in a 3-1 triumph at
SBC, and followed that with both tallies in a 2-0 at home against
the WildCats. Logan is second in the ODAC in points (21) and
tied for second in goals (9).
Kelley Smith, Lynchburg (Fr., Midfielder - Chesapeake,
Va.)
Smith helped the Hornets to a 2-0 week with the lone goal in a 1-0
win over Bridgewater on Saturday. Smith has scored three
goals this season, two of which have gone for game-winners.
Erin Septer, Shenandoah (Fr., Goalkeeper - Hamilton,
N.J.)
Septer helped preserve a pair of ODAC shutouts for Shenandoah with
six total saves. She made five stops in a 1-0 triumph at
Bridgewater, and then followed that with one save in a 1-0 victory
against Guilford.
