Caitlin Mertens, Lynchburg, Sr., Forward

Mertens, a senior from Succasunna, N.J., makes it three weekly awards in four tries as the Hornets' striker put together a 13-point week with six goals and one assist in a pair of Lynchburg victories. Mertens opened with three goals in a 5-0 home win over St. Mary's (Md.). She followed with her second straight hat trick to with an assist in a 6-0 win at Randolph College in Lynchburg's ODAC opener. Mertens is the first Lynchburg player to notch back-to-back hat tricks since Angela Bosco in 2014. Mertens currently leads the ODAC in points (24) and goals scored (11).
