KALAMAZOO, Mich. --- Washington and Lee junior Brooke Donnelly(Kennesaw, Ga. / Marietta) and first-year Tessa Hill (Canton, Ohio / Jackson) were both in action on Thursday at the NCAA Division III Singles & Doubles Championship at Kalamazoo College.
In singles action, Donnelly knocked off Megan Humphreys of Wisconsin-Whitewater in the first round by a score of 6-0, 7-6 (1). She then fell to top-seeded Juli Raventos of Williams in the second round by a score of 6-0, 6-3.
With her first round win, Donnelly earned ITA All-America honors in singles for the second straight year. She finishes her junior campaign with a 23-3 overall record.
In doubles, the tandem of Donnelly and Hill suffered a first round defeat to Mina Karamercan and Lauren Louks of Tufts by a score of 6-4, 6-1. They finished the year with a 23-7 record.
With the conclusion of Thursday's action, the Washington and Lee 2015-16 athletics season has been completed.
