Sonja Meighan, Washington and Lee, Jr., No. 1 Singles, No. 1 Doubles

Meighan, a junior from McLean, Va., led the Generals to a 1-1 showing that including a 9-0 win over Bridgewater and a 8-1 setback to NCAA Division III James Madison.  Against BC, Meighan won 6-0, 6-1 over Katie Gordon at No. 1 singles.  Meighan and Patricia Kirkland teamed up at No. 1 doubles to defeat Gordon and Maria Hawkins, 8-0.  Against JMU, Meighan lost the first set to Taylor Pinchoff at No. 1 singles, but came back to win set two, 7-5.  Pinchoff closed out the match, 11-9, in the third set.  The Generals' point came from Meighan and Kirkland at No. 1 doubles as the duo topped Pinchoff and Alex Huie, 9-7.

Women's Tennis Honor Roll

Stella Di Michele, Emory & Henry (Fr., 1S, 1D - San Remo, Italy)
Di Michele went 4-0 on the week, posting wins at No. 1 singles against Bluefield College (6-1, 6-0) and Salem College of Winston-Salem (6-0, 6-3).  She and partner Taylor Evans won a pair at No. 1 doubles, 8-1 and 8-0, respectively.  E&H defeated Bluefield, 7-1, and Salem, 7-2.

Allison Hewitt, Guilford (Jr., 2S, 1D - Loxachatchee, Fla.)
Hewitt won at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-1) and teamed with Haley Andrews to win at No. 1 doubles (8-3) in the Quakers 8-1 win over Guilford.

Angelina Sportelli, Randolph-Macon (So., 1S, 1D - Mechanicsville, Va.)
Sportelli posted wins at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles in the Yellow Jackets 6-3 loss to King College.  Sportelli defeated Katya Cerny (6-2, 6-3) in straight sets, and then teamed with Toni McDonald to win 9-7 in doubles action.

Jennifer Antoszyk, Roanoke (Jr., 1S, 1D - Charlotte, N.C.)
Antoszyk hlped the Maroons to an 8-1 win over UVA-Wise with singles and doubles wins at the No. 1 flight.  Antoszyk beat Brianna Stallard (6-1, 6-1) and then teamed with Briell Smith to win their doubles match, 8-0.

Molly Barb, Shenandoah (So., 1S, 1D - Edinburg, Va.)
Barb helped the Hornets to a 9-0 win over Hood.  She topped Olivia Hosch (6-2, 6-4) at No. 1 singles, and then joined Shannon Allin in defeating Hosch and Mable Tun, 8-2, at No. 1 doubles.

Caitlin Delmas, Sweet Briar (Fr., 1S, 1D - Asheville, N.C.)
Delmas aided the Vixens 5-4 win over Southern Virginia.  At No. 1 singles, Delmas topped Lauren Morrison (6-1, 6-0), and then joined Glory Bowman for a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles.
