Allen, a freshman from Bowie, Maryland, turned in a nearly-perfect effort at the net during Salisbury's Sea Gull Classic, committing only one error in three matches. She helped lead the Marlins to two of the program's biggest victories ever, a 3-0 win over Johns Hopkins University and a 3-2 win over host Salisbury University, snapping the Gulls' 13-match winning streak. Allen's overall performance earned her Most Valuable Player of the tournament accolades. She hit at a .512 clip through the three matches, collecting 21 kills in 39 attacks. She also had seven total blocks, four aces and a pair of digs. She currently ranks No. 2 among the Marlins in blocks and owns a .303 hitting percentage.

Ashley Scott, Bridgewater College, Freshman - Middle
Hitter
Scott averaged 2.9 kills per game in three matches to help
lead the Eagles to a 2-1 record in ODAC play during the week. Scott
had her best match in a three-set sweep over Roanoke when she
finished with 11 kills on 20 attempts with zero hitting errors.
Tabitha Bowman, Eastern Mennonite University, Sophomore -
Outside Hitter
Bowman led the Lady Royals in kills in all four of their
matches this week, including 16 kills in the win over Salem. The
sophomore showed her versatility by racking up 17 digs against
Sweet Briar and landing three service aces against both Washington
& Lee and Salem. For the week, Bowman averaged three kills a
game with a hitting percentage of .329. She also averaged
three digs a game.
Rachel Fertitta, Emory & Henry College, Sophomore -
Middle Hitter
Fertitta led the Wasps this week with 4.86 kills per game,
a .420 hitting pct., 1.29 blocks per game and 6.07 points per
game. She helped the Wasps improve their season record to
11-3 with victories over Covenant and Virginia Intermont.
Brittany Freeman, Guilford College, Freshman - Outside
Hitter
Freeman led Guilford with six kills in a three-set loss at
Lynchburg in Guilford's lone action of the week. She added a
service ace and seven digs. Freeman paced the Quakers
with 2.33 points per set.
Jessica Sears, Randolph-Macon College, Freshman - Outside
Hitter
Sears helped R-MC extend its record to 14-1 with a pair of
wins this week. In a 3-0 non-conference win over NC Wesleyan,
Sears had eight kills and 15 digs. In a key ODAC win over BC,
she had 12 kills, 19 digs and three aces.
