Katie Long, Bridgewater, Sr., Outside Hitter

Long, a senior from Floyd, Va., led the Eagles to a 4-0 weekend at the Battlefield Classic hosted by Gettysburg College.  Long collected an ODAC weekly-high 71 kills and registered 4.18 kills per set while hitting .251, earning her all-tournament team accolades.  Long began the season with 22 kills, nine digs and four blocks in the Eagles 3-2 victory over Penn St.-Altoona.  She backed that up with 17 winners in BC's second 3-2 win on Friday, this one over host Gettysburg College.  On Saturday, Long notched 12 kills and three digs in a 3-0 whitewashing of Washington College.  She capped her performance with 20 kills, two digs and a block in a 3-1 win over Penn St.-Harrisburg.  Long current leads the early ODAC charts in kills and kills per set.

Volleyball Honor Roll

Katie Miller, Eastern Mennonite (So., DS, San Antonio, Texas)
Miller was named All-EMU Invitational Team as she helped the Royals go 2-2 at their own invite. Miller had 14 or more digs in each match, including 31 against Howard Payne on Saturday. She averaged 4.81 digs per game at the invite, and added seven aces.

Tristen Pennington, Emory & Henry (Fr., OH, Kingsport, Tenn.)
In the Wasps season-opening 3-0 victory at Ferrum, Pennington began her collegiate career with 11 kills and a .526 hitting percentage.  She also recorded six digs and smacked a trio of aces.

Meredith Foscue, Guilford (Sr., Libero, Asheboro, N.C.)
Foscue led Guilford to a 1-3 weekend at the Averett Classic. She paced the Quakers with 57 digs and 4.07 digs per set.  She picked up 22 balls (5.5/set) and served two aces in 3-1 win over Hollins.  She had 17 digs in a four-set loss to Methodist.

Jordan Templin, Randolph (Jr., OH, Ferrum, Va.)
Templin notched 54 kills in the WildCats 3-1 weekend, including 17 winners in a 3-1 season-opening victory over Mary Washington.  Templin hit .295 for the weekend with 36 digs (14 vs. UMW), six blocks and five aces.

Katie Rossberg, Randolph-Macon (So., MH, Crozet, Va.)
In two matches. Rossberg averaged three kills per set, collecting 18 winners in 3-0 victories over N.C. Wesleyan and St. Mary's (Md.). Her 18 kills came on just 41 attacks, leading the way to a .293 hitting percentage.  She also record seven digs and five blocks.

Jasmine Callahan, Shenandoah (Fr. S, Forest, Va.)
Callahan averaged 6.42 assists per set (52 total assists) in the Hornets' 3-1 start to the new season.  She was named to the all-tournament team at the Battlefield Classic.  She notched a high of 27 assists in a 3-1 win over Mt. St. Mary (N.Y.) on Saturday.

Alex Lambert, Virginia Wesleyan (Jr., MH, Alexandria, Va.)
Lambert helped guide Virginia Wesleyan to a 3-1 record and first place in its own tournament over the weekend.  She collected 53 kills over the four matches, increasing her total each time with a high of 15 against Mary Washington.  She also recorded 39 digs and 13 blocks.  Six blocks came in a 3-2 win over Johnson & Wales (R.I.).

Anna Lausberg, Washington and Lee (Fr., OH, Ocoee, Fla.)
Lausberg helped propel Washington and Lee to a 4-0 record to start the season. Lausberg recorded double-digit kills in three of the four matches, including a season-high 16 in a 3-0 defeat of Rhodes. She also totaled 27 digs, two assists, one service ace and one block. She hit .225 for the week, while averaging 3.54 kills per set.
