Alex Kinzer, Washington and Lee, Jr., Setter

Kinzer, a junior from Greenville, S.C., kept the Generals' offense humming as Washington and Lee went 4-0 at the W&L Invitational.  Kinzer earned MVP honors after dishing out 141 total assists, including a pair of matches in which she averaged more than 10 assists per set.  She averaged 9.4 per set overall.  Kinzer also racked up 10 aces and 27 digs while posting 10 total blocks.  She picked her spots well in attack, registering 12 kills.  In a 3-1 win over Maryville (Tenn.), she handed out 34 assists with four kills, two aces, eight digs and five blocks.  Kinzer has handed out 946 assists so far this season, good for a 9.11 per set average.

Volleyball Honor Roll

Abby Mills, Bridgewater (So., OH - Fairfax, Va.)
Mills collected 24 kills and hit .267 as BC went 1-2 at the Johns Hopkins Tournament.  She also registered 22 total digs, including 10 in a loss to the host Blue Jays.

Kelsey Ruehling, Guilford (Jr., OH - Three Rivers, Calif.)
Ruehling led the Quakers in kills (41) and points per set (3.3) in Guilford's 1-3 week.  She had three matches of 11 or more kills, including 16 on a .361 attack percentage in a loss to Agnes Scott.  Ruehling also collected 36 digs and four aces over the four matches.

Courtney Lowers, Randolph-Macon (Jr., OH - Suffolk, Va.)
Lowers was strong on the attack in the Yellow Jackets 2-3 week as she recorded 96 kills and 5.05 per set on a .221 attack percentage.  She had 24 winners in a 3-1 win over Averett, and added 23 kills with 10 digs in a 3-2 loss against Eastern.  She gathered 42 digs overall, including 13 with 18 kills in a 3-1 loss to Mary Washington.

Allie Pieper, Shenandoah (Jr., MB - Stephens City, Va.)
Pieper earned a spot on the Muhlenberg all-tournament team after collecting 52 kills on a .305 attack percentage with 10 digs and 12 blocks in the Hornets' 4-2 week.  Three times she smacked 10 or more kills, including 16 winners with three blocks in a 3-1 win over DeSales.  She hit .556 in that contest.
