White, a sophomore from Union Bridge, Maryland, finished first overall at the Marlin Invitational hosted by Virginia Wesleyan College. White's winning time was 26:30.17 - the only runner in the 38 runner field to break the 27-minute mark. His time was a new personal best, breaking the standard he set last year on the same course.

Longerbeam finished 12th at the Marlin Invitational, pacing the Hornets with a time of 28:47.77.

David Kidd, Virginia Wesleyan College, Junior
Kidd placed second in the Marlin Invitational with a time of 27:04.9, the 12th fastest 8K time in VWC history. Thirty-eight runners competed in the race.
