Pernisi, a junior from Camden, New York, paced the Hornets with a time of 22:45 in the 6K event to take fifth place at the Paul Short Invitational. Pernisi smashed the LC record in the 6K event, beating her own record of 23:17 established in 2007. She also set a new ODAC 2009 season-best time in the event, outpacing fellow Hornet Ashley Meyer who had set the mark at 23:44 earlier in the season.

Corrie Janocka, Eastern Mennonite University, Senior
Janocka led the way for the Lady Royals as she
finished 7th on a hilly 6k course at the Royals Invitational.
Janocka crossed in 27:55 ahead of 8th place teammate Samfee
Doe.
Kelly Fauth, Virginia Wesleyan College, Sophomore
Fauth improved her season 5K time with a 20:20 finish in
the DI-dominated Great American XC Festival hosted by NC State
University. Fauth placed 44th in the field of 119
runners.
Lauren Schultz, Washington and Lee University, Freshman
Schultz placed second overall was the top ODAC finisher at
the Royals Invitational on Saturday with a time of 26:45.
