Mast, a senior from Broadway, Va., finished first among non-NCAA Division I athletes and topped more than half of the Division I field at the JMU Open Cross Country Invitational. She finished the 5.2-kilometer course with a time of 20:51.0. She helped the Royals to first of five non-Division I programs with 27 points.

Alette McGuire, E&H: McGuire was the top non-scholarship runner at the Royals Twilight, breaking E&H's 5K record with a time of 18:58. She helped E&H to fifth overall and first of two non-scholarship schools.
