Lucy-Speidel, a junior from Fort Valley, Va., led the Hornets to first place in the non-Division I team standings at the Virginia Tech Alumni Invitational. Lucy-Speidel completed the eight-kilometer course with a time of 26:17.8 to finish 51st overall and first among Division II and III athletes. Lynchburg racked up only 35 points to top the team chart.

Men's Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll

Robert Theimer, BC: Placed 79th overall and fifth non-Division I at Virginia Tech with an 8K time of 27:31.8.

Caleb Amstrutz, GC: Stopped the watches 36th overall at the adidas XC Challenge, posting a 5K time of 17:43.2 to lead Guilford for the eighth straight race dating back to 2016.

Lewis Brooks, H-SC: Finished 10th overall at the adidas XC Challenge with a 5K time of 16:39.2, marking his fastest collegiate time.

Howard Daniels, RC: Finished 76th overall and third non-Division I to lead Roanoke at Virginia Tech with an 8K time of 27:12.6.

Jordan Sulcer, VWU: Placed 9th overall at the adidas XC Challenge with a 5K time of 16:33.7.
