Generals Claim Third Straight ODAC Women's Golf Title

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. --- Washington and Lee University sophomore Megan Kanaby ran away with individual medalist honors by eight strokes on Monday afternoon, highlighting a Generals contingent that featured four of the top-seven finishers to power W&L to its third straight ODAC Women's Golf Tournament team title. W&L out-paced the University of Lynchburg by 13 strokes, 641-to-654.

After a rainy practice round on Saturday, conditions were ideal for strong championship play at Bryan Park Golf & Conference Center north of Greensboro, N.C. The tournament included 36 holes of competition on the par-72 layout set to 5,813 yards on the Champions Course.

Washington and Lee, which has now won four conference titles since women's golf became a league sport in 2013, earns the ODAC's automatic entry into the NCAA Division III Tournament slated for May 11-14 at Forest Akers in East Lansing, Mich. The tournament's full field will be announced on May 3 or 4, 2021.
