He scattered five hits (all singles), walked three and struck out four while allowing just one run (earned). The outing was his fourth and longest of the season, lowering his ERA to 3.94.

doubleheader against Virginia Wesleyan. He gave up three runs (zero
earned) while striking out four. He scattered six hits, none for
extra bases, and a walk while winning his fourth game of the
season. His ERA now sits at 1.23.
Daniel Byrd, Randolph-Macon - (Fr, RHP -
Stafford, VA / Mountain View, 41)
Byrd allowed just one run on four hits over six innings as
Randolph-Macon defeated Hampden-Sydney on Wednesday. Byrd struck
out three batters and walked two on the way to his first collegiate
win.
Tyler Grouten, Roanoke - (Sr, P - Avon,
CT, 12)
Grouten pitched in two games this past week, tossing a total of
seven innings. He fired six innings in Roanoke's 10-3 win over
Earlham, where he struck out five and walked two while surrendering
three runs on five hits.
Nick McMahon, Shenandoah - (Sr, RHP -
Warrenton, Va., 22)
McMahon went 7.1 innings to help Shenandoah to a 3-2 win over
Hampden-Sydney on Sunday. He gave up two runs (both earned)
while scattering 10 hits. He walked a pair and struck out two
Tigers.
