Will Salley, Washington and Lee, Sr., Outfielder

Salley, a senior from Augusta, Ga., went 7-for-17 (.412) from the dish as he helped lead the Generals to a 3-1 week that included a doubleheader sweep of Roanoke College.  Salley generated 12 runs for the Generals as he drove in five and scored seven times.  He had at least one hit in each of the four games, including a trio of two-hit efforts.  He accounted for six runs in the Generals 10-8 win over Earlham as he belted a pair of homers on the way to driving in three runs and scoring three times.  The two homers stretched his consecutive games with a homerun-streak to four.  Salley is currently hitting .313 on the season.  He's #1 in the ODAC with 15 walks (3 this past week) and tied for third with five homeruns.

Baseball Player Honor Roll

Andrew Hacker, Bridgewater (Va.) - (Sr, 3B - Mechanicsville, VA, 24)
Hacker helped lead the Eagles to a 3-0 ODAC record this past week as he hit for a .417 average in the three games. He drove in four runs and scored three times.  One of his five hits was a double, giving him five on the season.  Hacker leads the ODAC in hitting with a .453 average.

Justin Rodriguez, East. Mennonite - (So, SS/3B - MIramar, FL, 25)
Rodriguez went 5-for-11 (.455) with a pair of doubles and three RBI as he helped EMU to a 2-1 week that included a sweep of Hampden-Sydney.  He also scored five runs as Rodriguez appears to be breaking out of a stretch where he had six hits in his first 17 games.

Kent Peterson, Guilford - (Sr, IF - Albemarle, N.C., 7)
Peterson extended his career-long hitting streak to a team-best 16 games with at least two hits in each game of the Quakers' 1-3 week.  He went 7-for-10 with a double and a pair of walks.  He also scored three runs.

Brock Shiflett, Lynchburg - (Sr, DH - Henrico, VA, 16)
Shiflett went 6-for-16 with seven RBI and four runs scored in the Hornets' 3-2 week.  He belted a trio of homers, including one in each game of a doubleheader sweep of Southern Virginia.  The seven RBI give him a team-leading 17 on the season, while the three bombs increase his season total to a career-high five homers.

Jake Fletcher, Randolph-Macon - (Sr, INF - Deltaville, VA / Middlesex, 1)
Fletcher went 6-for-16 (.375) in the Yellow Jackets 1-3 week.  His biggest moment of the week came with R-MC trailing 5-4 in the fifth inning against Shenandoah.  He blasted a two-run homer to put R-MC ahead on the way to a 10-9 win.

Mark Manthe, Roanoke - (Sr, RF - Blacksburg, VA, 23)
In the Maroons 1-3 week, Manthe went 6-for-18 (.333) with a double, two homers and seven RBI.  He also scored five times.  He belted both homers and drove in five runs in a 10-9 loss to Emory & Henry.

Evan Polk, Va. Wesleyan - (Sr, OF - Chesapeake, Va., 1)
In a two-game sweep of Emory & Henry, Polk went 5-for-8 with a triple, five RBI and two runs scored.  His efforts helped VWC outscore E&H, 14-7.
