Tom Concklin, Washington and Lee, So., Pitcher

Concklin, a sophomore from Hinsdale, Ill., started off the season in winning fashion as he helped the Generals to a 3-1 win over Marymount (Va.) as part of a season-opening doubleheader sweep.  Concklin got the start in game two and fired four scoreless innings to earn the win in a the seven-inning contest.  He gave up just one hit and walked three while striking out a career-high seven batters.  He previously had struck out four batters on two separate occasions last season.

Drew Crawford, Guilford (Sr. - Newport, Tenn.)
Crawford went five innings in the Quakers 2-1 loss to Berry in their season-opener.  He gave up one run on four hits, fanning a pair without a walk.

Rick Spiers, Randolph-Macon (Fr. - South Chesterfield, Va.)
Spiers got his first collegiate start in game two of Saturday's doubleheader.  He tossed four scoreless frames to get the win, giving up five hits and walking one batter.  R-MC won all three games against St. Mary's (Md.) this weekend.
