J.J. McDaniel, Shenandoah, Sr., Third Base

McDaniel, a senior from Stafford, Va., went 11-for-21 (.545) to help Shenandoah to a 4-1 week, including a sweep of then ODAC-leading Virginia Wesleyan. McDaniel hit safely in all five games, including a 6-for-8 showing against VWC.  He had five RBI on the week, including three multi-hit contests.  He was 4-for-5 with three runs scored, a RBI and stolen base in game one against the Marlins, adding two more hits and another run driven in during the second contest.  He had three hits, two RBI and two runs scored in a non-conference win over York (Pa.).  He finished with five runs scored and two stolen bases on the week.  For the season, McDaniel is third in the ODAC with a .417 batting average.  His 35 hits are the second-most in the conference.

Baseball Player Honor Roll

Kenner Berry, Bridgewater (So., OF - Mechanicsville, Va.)
Berry batted .462 by going 6-for-13 with five walks, helping him to a .611 OBP in the Eagles 3-1 week.  He was 6-for-9 with a double, five RBI and four runs score in a sweep of Lynchburg.

Ryan Hedrick, Eastern Mennonite (So., C/OF - Bridgewater, Va.)
Hedrick had three multi-hit games in the Royals 2-2 week, going 8-for-15 with two walks and a run batted in.  He was 3-for-4 in a loss to Shenandoah, and again had three hits in four at bats in an 8-7 win over Lynchburg in which he scored the eventual winning run in the top of the ninth.

Brandon Lineberry, Emory & Henry (Jr., IF - Hillsville, Va.)
Lineberry had a pair of multi-hit games to lead E&H to a 3-1 week, including a sweep of Washington and Lee.  He was 8-for-17 overall with 12 RBI.  He was 5-for-6 with a double, homer and six RBI in a 16-13 win over Greensboro.  He added a 3-for-5 day with a triple and five RBI in a 13-7 game two win over W&L.

Herc Ingels, Guilford (Sr., OF - Lenoir, N.C.)
Ingels hit .500 (8-fo-16) in the Quakers 2-1 week.  He was 4-for-6 with two RBI in a win over Lynchburg, and then went 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI in a win over Hampden-Sydney.

John Lloyd, Hampden-Sydney (Jr., 2B - Glen Allen, Va.)
Lloyd went 7-for-13 in the Tigers' 2-1 week, including a 5-for-5 performance in a 12-6 win over Randolph-Macon.  He had two doubles, a homer and a pair of RBI while scoring four times in that contest.

KC Caldwell, Lynchburg (So., OF - Midlothian, Va.)
Caldwell hit 7-for-15 with four doubles and six RBI in the Hornets 1-3 week.  He had a double in all four games, including a 4-for-5 effort in a loss to Bridgewater.  He also walked three times on the week for a .556 OBP.

Nick Maiolo, Randolph-Macon (Jr., C - Powhatan, Va.)
Maiolo hit .500 (9-for-18) in the Yellow Jackets 1-3 week.  He had a pair of doubles, a triple, two homers and six RBI to go with four runs scored.  He had a pair of three-hit games, including a 3-for-5 day with three RBI in a 10-3 win over Catholic.

Cal Hodgert, Roanoke (Fr., IF - Lynchburg, Va.)
Hodgert went 8-for-18 in the Maroons 3-1 week that included a sweep of 10th-ranked Randolph-Macon.  He went 5-for-9 against R-MC with a double, triple and three RBI to go with three runs scored.  He was also 3-for-4 with two RBI in a 10-1 win over E&H.

Josh Mason, Virginia Wesleyan (Sr., IF - Chesapeake, Va.)
Mason went 6-for-9 from dish in four games played, having entered in the first game of the week solely as a pitcher.  He was 5-for-8 in a sweep of Washington and Lee, hitting a solo homer and a two-run triple in game one, followed by a three-run shot in game two.  He had seven RBI and scored three times in the two contests.
