James Walsh, Randolph-Macon, Sr., Pitcher

Walsh, a senior from Mechanicsville, Va., came out missing bats as he tossed six scoreless innings in the Yellow Jackets 6-0 triumph over Southwestern (Texas).  After walking the first batter of the game, he registered a career-best 14 strikeouts, including a stretch of nine consecutive batters walking back to the dugout.  R-MC's southpaw surrendered just two hits on the day.

Shuford collected his first save with 3.2 innings of relief work in the Quakers 11-7 win over Piedmont.  He gave up two hits and three unearned runs while walking three and fanning four batters.  He worked out of a one-out bases loaded jam upon entering the game in the sixth inning.

Tom Concklin, Washington and Lee (Jr.)
Concklin picked up his first win of the season with six shutout innings in the Generals 3-0 win over St. Mary's (Md.). Concklin gave up three hits and did not walk a batter while striking out four.
