Jeffrey Butler, Randolph-Macon, So., Infielder

Butler, a sophomore from Chesapeake, Va., helped Randolph-Macon open the season with a sweep of St. Mary's (Md.). Butler reached base safely in eight of his first nine plate appearances, registering five hits in six official at bats. He was 3-for-3 with a run, two RBI, two walks, and two stolen bases in an 8-1 win in game one. He followed with a 2-for-3 showing in a 9-3 win game two. He scored once and drove in another run, walked for a third time in the series, and swiped his third bag. Butler is hitting .833 with a .889 on-base percentage.

Mathews went 4-for-5 with two walks in a season-opening split with Penn St.-Altoona. He was 3-for-3 with a doulbe and a stolen base in game one (W, 7-2).

Will Harris, Lynchburg (Jr. - OF)
Harris went 6-for-15 with three runs scored, a double, and two RBI in the Hornets' 2-2 start to the season. He had a trio of two-hit games, going 4-for-8 combined in wins over Southern Virginia (7-1) and Averett (8-2).

Will Decker, Roaoke (Sr. - OF)
Decker with 7-for-14 with two doubles, two triples, five runs scored and two RBI in the Maroons' 2-1 showing against Frostburg State to open the year. He was 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs, and a RBI in a 9-8 loss in game three.

RAndy Neisz, Virginia Wesleyan (Jr. - OF)
Neisz was a bright spot in an 0-3 week for the Marlins, homering in back-to-back outings in game two against N.C. Wesleyan (L, 6-5) and in the lone contest against Salisbury (L, 4-3). He drove in two runs in both those games.
