Morse, a senior from Vienna, Va., stymied Emory & Henry for eight innings in the nationally 22nd-ranked Hornets 19-2 conference victory. Morse surrendered just one hit and didn't allow a run in his time on the hill. He walked three Wasps and struck out seven. He retired 10 straight batters thru the middle of the contest before giving up a walk to start the seventh inning. For the season, Morse is now 4-2 with a 2.66 earned run average in 44.0 innings of work. He's third in the league with 43 strikeouts and has walked 19 batters.

Ryan Skadra, BC: came on for three relief appearances, earning a pair of saves. Worked the final frame in a 2-1 win over Ferrum, giving up two hits. He pitched an inning in a 10-7 victory over EMU. He surrendered one unearned run on two hits with a strikeout. Picked up his second save with a frame in a 7-5 win at Hampden-Sydney. Gave up just one hit in that appearance.

Zach Dinkins, GC: picked up a win, 12-5, over Emory & Henry. Yielded three unearned runs on four hits in 6.2 innings of work. Walked a pair of and fanned four in his second victory of the season.

Matthew Nickles, R-MC: worked six frames in a 10-1 non-conference win over N.C. Wesleyan. Gave up one run on six hits without walking a batter. He fanned five.

Jacob Pilarski, VWU: continues to win games in move to 7-0 in a 7-2 victory over #4 Roanoke. Gave up two runs while scattering eight hits over 8.0 innings on the hill. He also worked around four walks and struck out four Maroons.
