Roth, a senior from Henrico, Va., was dominant in seven shutout innings during the nationally 13th-ranked Yellow Jackets 12-1 victory at Roanoke. Roth scattered five hits and walked one batter while setting a new career-high with 15 strikeouts. The win moved him to 6-0 on the season and marked a Randolph-Macon record 22 career wins for the right-hander. Roth struck out at least one batter in each inning against the Maroons. He fanned the side in the second and worked around baserunners to record all three outs via punchouts in the fifth and seventh frames. Roth owns an ODAC-best 1.87 ERA in 53.0 innings on the hill. He also leads the conference in strikeouts (58) and strikeouts per game (9.85).
