Lane Earns Two National Weekly Honors

D3football.com and BSN Honor Tigers' Signal-Caller

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. --- Senior quarterback Travis Lane has now earned national recognition for his outstanding performance against North Carolina Wesleyan.  The Tigers' signal-caller was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week as well as a Beyond Sports Network (BSN) Offensive Player of the Week. BSN also rated Lane a Preseason All-American.

Lane's breakout day ranked second in the ODAC single-game record books in completion percentage (87.5% on 28-32) and touchdown passes (7). He also threw for 389 yards. The most impressive aspect of his performance was the fact that he did the majority of his damage in just three quarters. Lane played one down of the fourth quarter; the result - a 12 yard touchdown pass.

Through two games, Lane has thrown 10 touchdowns to just one interception with 622 yards on 48-of-62 (77.4%) accuracy.

Lane and the Tigers return to action this Saturday at Lewis C. Everett Stadium as they host the Panthers of Ferrum College.
