FOREST, Va. --- ODAC football teams won six more games between contests on Friday and Saturday night, improving the league's combined record to 13-1, the best cumulative mark of any NCAA Division III football conference.

Bridgewater picked up its second victory of the year with a 28-23 win over future ODAC foe Shenandoah University.  Darrin McKenzie led the way offensively, running for 186 yards and three touchdowns.  Defensively, it was Jeff Mehlhaff who hand a hand in two of the Eagles four forced turnovers.  Mehlhaff returned a second quarter interception 32 yards for a touchdown and then forced a fumble on the BC two-yard line in the fourth quarter to preserve a 12-point BC lead at the time.

Catholic took the gridiron on Friday night at Gallaudet University and found themselves down 28-0 midway through the second quarter before getting on the board.  Quarterback Greg Cordivari three for 304 yards and four scores in bring the Cardinals back from its original deficit and later a 41-24 hole.  Mike Pitsenberger, who ran for 70 yards on the night, scored the game-winning touchdown with 1:01 to play via a one-yard plunge to secure a 45-41 win.  Defensively, James Fucillo recovered a fumble to set up the second of three fourth quarter touchdowns for Catholic.

Emory & Henry pitched a shutout for the firs time since 2002 (10-0 over Guilford) in a 38-0 whitewashing of Greensboro College.  The Wasps surrendered just 171 yards of offense and sacked the Panthers' quarterback three-times en route to victory.  Travis Bolt led the unit with 11 tackles (five solo).  Offensively, sophomore quarterback Kyle Boden had his best passing day in blue and gold as he completed 33-of-45 passes for 370 yards and four touchdowns.  Receiver Preston Jennings was the prime beneficiary as he hauled in 10 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns.

Guilford suffered its first loss of the season with a 40-22 setback at Methodist University.  Turnovers hurt the Quakers as they gave away possession five times (3 interceptions), but that didn't stop receiver Ben King from collecting his seventh 100-plus yard game in his GC career.  He recorded 10 grabs for 118 yards and a touchdown.  Defensively, Hunter English led the unit with eight tackles, including three for a loss.  He also came through with a forced fumble, which he recovered.  Jordan Farmer had the most tackles with nine.

Hampden-Sydney recorded its second straight blowout victory with a 56-17 triumph over N.C. Wesleyan.  Quarterback Travis Lane had one of the more impressive passing days in ODAC history as he completed 28-of-32 passes for 389 yards and seven touchdowns.  His 87.5 completion percentage and seven TD's rank second in conference record books.  Receiver Kyle Vance also had a big day as he corralled 11 passes for 170 yards and four touchdowns.  The four scores tie for the most in a single game in ODAC history.  Defensively, Sean Stewart led the way with nine tackles, a forced and recovered fumble, and two defended passes.

Randolph-Macon didn't crack the goal line until midway through the fourth quarter, but Thaddeus Scruggs' 14-yard touchdown run proved enough of a margin for R-MC to defeat Averett, 15-7.  The Yellow Jackets ran for 290 yards on the day, with Scruggs churning out 173 yards on 25 carries.  Quarterback Greg Petrohovic ran for 30 yards and completed all seven of his pass attempts.  Kicker Josh Storm provided the rest of R-MC's scoring as he connected on field goals of 23, 35 and 38 yards.  Defensively, the Yellow Jackets bent but didn't break in giving up 271 yards of offense.  They also picked off Averett twice and sacked the quarterback four times.  Joe Pricone had two sacks for the second straight week.  Andrew Leonard and Michael Smith recorded the interceptions.

Washington and Lee won its ninth straight regular season contest with a 31-14 win over Sewanee.  Quarterback Charlie Westfal was effective both passing and running as he threw for 108 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 83 yards and another score.  Sasha Vandalov ran for a touchdown as part of a 306-yard rushing day for the Generals' offense.  Alex Evans and Cody Smith each caught a touchdown pass.  Defensively, Jake Pelton led the way with 11 tackles (nine solo) and a fumble recovery.  Stephen Peck made seven stops including a quarterback sack.
