ODAC football teams went 5-1 in week three, with five of the six teams in action completing their non-conference schedules and moving into their scheduled byes in week four.  Guilford College stayed undefeated, while Catholic University, Hampden-Sydney College, Randolph-Macon College and Shenandoah University also posted wins.

Guilford moved to 3-0 for the first time since 2007 with a 35-27 win over Southern Virginia University.  The game was played at Salem Stadium in Salem, Va., home of the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl.  The Quakers got a big passing day from Matt Pawlowski, who picks up his second straight ODAC weekly award.  He was 28-of-38 for 394 yards and four touchdowns thru the air.

In two other ODAC night games, Shenandoah ran over Ferrum College, 45-20, while Washington and Lee University fell to 0-3 with a 28-23 setback to Centre.  The Hornets racked up a school-record 552 yards of total offense with two runners eclipsing the 100-yard barrier on the way to 420 yards on the ground.  Defensive back Josh White intercepted two passes and his 90 return yards on those turnovers setup two touchdowns, earning him ODAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.  The Generals got two touchdowns out of quarterback Charlie Nelson -- one thru the air and one rushing.

Randolph-Macon got the day started with an early kickoff (12pm ET), which eventually turned into a 34-20 win over Sewanee.  Zac Naccarato accounted for four touchdowns -- two thru the air and two rushing.  Catholic held on to defeat Apprentice School, 31-24.  The Cardinals put up 565 yards of total offense -- 273 rushing and 295 passing.  TJ Tutone threw two TD passes and ran in for one.  Hampden-Sydney College blanked the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, 56-0.  Nash Nance threw three touchdown passes and ran in one of five Tigers rushing scores.

After being idle in week three, Bridgewater College and Emory & Henry College return to action, joining Catholic on the field in week four.  Guilford, Hampden-Sydney, Randolph-Macon, Shenandoah, and Washington and Lee are all off next weekend on their scheduled bye dates.
