Defensive Player of the Week
Offensive Player of the Week
Patrick Ryan | Washington and Lee | Sr. | Defensive Back
Ryan, a senior from Darien, Conn., helped the Generals return to the win column with a 30-20 result at Bridgewater. Ryan was twice involved in the turnover game with a fumble recovery for a touchdown and an interception to go with four tackles. His fumble recovery came with 4:49 left in the first half as he scooped up the loose ball and made his way 37 yards to pay-dirt for a 27-6 lead. That was the first fumble recovery for a touchdown by a Generals defender since October 7, 2006, just a day short of 12 years. Ryan's interception helped seal W&L's win as he came down with the turnover to end Bridgewater's final drive of the game with 4:30 to play in the fourth quarter. For the season, Ryan has 12 tackles (11 solo) to go with this week's two turnovers.
Hayden Bauserman | Shenandoah | Sr. | Quarterback
Bauserman, a senior from Woodstock, Va., picks up his second weekly award after leading the Hornets to a 59-34 win over Hampdeny-Sydney. Bauserman set a new program record with 47 completions, the third-most in ODAC history behind 51 in 2011 from former Emory & Henry quarterback Kyle Boden and 48 in 2007 from former Guilford signal-caller Josh Vogelbach. Bauserman finished 47-of-63 for 490 yards and five touchdowns against one interception. He now has seven games of 400 or more passing yards including two this season. He has also now thrown five or more TD passes in a game eight times, each coming in the past two seasons. Bauserman completed passes to 10 different receivers against H-SC, with Jalen Hudson hauling in a team-best 13 balls. Six receivers had 49 or more yards. For the season, Bauserman leads the ODAC in passing yards (1,851), touchdowns (23), completions (175), attempts (258), completion percentage (67.8), and passing efficiency (154.4). For his career, Bauserman currently ranks third in passing touchdowns (112) and completions (913) and fourth in passing yards (10,494) in ODAC history.

NEXT WEEK | vs. Hampden-Sydney (1-3, 1-1 ODAC) | 2:00 PM
Bridgewater and Hampden-Sydney will be meeting for the 75th time on Saturday afternoon in Bridgewater, continuing a series that began in 1929. The Tigers own a 59-15 advantage all-time, which includes a 37-27 victory in Hampden-Sydney last season. Both squads look for a return to the win column following losses in their most recent games -- Bridgewater to Washington and Lee, 30-20, and Hampden-Sydney at Shenandoah, 59-34.

FERRUM was idle this past weekend on its scheduled bye.

NEXT WEEK | at Guilford (1-3, 0-2 ODAC) | 7:00 PM on Thursday
Ferrum and Guilford will be meeting for the 21st time on Thursday evening in Greensboro. The Panthers own a 14-6 advantage in the all-times, which began in 1986. The two squads last met in 2006 with Guilford posting a 49-35 victory in Greensboro. Guilford has a long yet inconsistent history of playing Thursday night games. The Ferrum matchup is their second Thursday night game of the season. Before this year, GC had not played in a Thursday night game since 1966. In those early years, Guilford routinely played Thanksgiving Day games against various opponents. Ferrum returns to the gridiron on Saturday following its schedule bye. The Quakers have dropped three straight contests including ODAC games to Bridgewater (30-28) and at Randolph-Macon (63-34).

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY took a 59-34 loss to Shenandoah in an offensive battle that featured a combined 1,210 yards of total offense, including 935 through the air. The Yellow Jackets own an 8-3 advtange in the all-time series, which began in 2004. Last season, Shenandoah snapped R-MC's eight-game run over the Hornets with a 51-38 win in Ashland. Randolph-Macon had won successive matchups from 2009 thru 2016, while SU posted wins in their first two matchups in 2004 and 2005 before picking up its third last year. Both teams picked up wins last week, with Randolph-Macon's 63-34 victory over Guilford leaving them at the top of the ODAC standings. E&H looks to return to the win column following back-to-back losses at Hampden-Sydney (56-27) and two Thomas More (41-27). The Generals look for a second straight win after topping Bridgewater, 30-20, this past week.

GUILFORD dropped its third straight overall game and second straight ODAC contest at Randolph-Macon, 63-34 on Saturday. De'Eric Bell continued his strong season and onslaught on various record books as he ran for 134 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries. He scored on runs of two and 78 yards.
