OFFENSIVE LINE, Washington and Lee

The Washington and Lee offensive line led the way to a record-breaking performance in the Generals' 49-14 win over Catholic on Friday evening.  The Generals amassed 604 yards of total offense and held the ball for better than 41 of the game's 60 minutes.  Additionally, W&L set a new ODAC record for rushing yards in a game with 496 yards (previous, 483 yds by E&H in 1998) and had three running backs eclipse the 100-yard barrier in the contest.  Six W&L rushers had at least 30 yards on the ground.  The Generals scored five touchdowns via the ground.  Saturday’s effort also provided the stage for breaking several ODAC season records, including season rushing yards (3,008) and season rushing touchdowns (33) with two games remaining in the regular season.  The previous records were 2,740 yards (E&H in 1986) and 32 touchdowns (H-SC in 1991 and 2003).
