Alec Cobb, Hampden-Sydney, Sr., Quarterback

Cobb, a senior from Jamestown, N.C., helped the Tigers to their first win of the season after being idle for the past three weeks. Cobb set a new personal career-record with 519 passing yards in the 56-27 triumph over Emory & Henry. He has thrown for 1,304 yards and 10 touchdowns in three career games against E&H. Cobb's 514-yard total on Saturday is second in Hampden-Sydney history and seventh on the ODAC single-game lists just behind former H-SC signal-caller Corey Sedlar's 522-yard effort in 2009 against Gettysburg College. Cobb was 37-of-55 with five touchdowns thru the air. He added a sixth score via a 1-yard rush midway thru the first quarter. Cobb completed passes to seven different receivers with three going over 100-yards -- Major Morgan (11 for 181), Blake Page (8 for 109), and Kaleb Smith (10 for 105). He hit Morgan with a pair of TD passes while Page, Kaleb Smith, and Brandon Smith hauled in the remaining scoring throws.
