Burgan, a senior from Boonsboro, Md., has been nothing short of a tackling machine for Shenandoah to help the Hornets start the season a 3-0. Burgan registered his third straight game of double figure tackles in SU's 34-29 comeback victory at Maryville (Tenn.). He made a game and season-high 15 tackles including eight solo stops, playing a major role in a 28-7 halftime lead. Five of his tackles held the Scots to two or fewer yards including three one-yard gains. Burgan has now registered double-digit tackles in 11 straight games dating back to last season. Saturday marked his fifth effort of 15 or more tackles during that stretch. He has 17 games of 10 or more stops in his career. For the season, Burgan leads the ODAC in overall (39) and solo (24) tackles as well as tackles per game (13.0). He is second in sacks (4.0) and tied for second in tackles for loss (5.0).
