Will Pickren, Hampden-Sydney, Jr., Safety

Pickren, a junior from Mount Pleasant, S.C., picks up his second ODAC defensive weekly award in as many weeks after helping Hampden-Sydney to a 44-43 victory at Washington and Lee in overtime on Saturday afternoon. Pickren was all over the field against the Generals with a game and career-high 22 tackles including seven solo stops to go with a quarterback hurry. The 22 tackles is not only the most for any player in the ODAC this season, but it ranks as the third-most in a single-game in NCAA Division III this season. Pickren has recorded 10 or more tackles in five straight games with Saturday's outing marking his 11th career double-figure day. He currently leads the ODAC in overall (85) and assisted (55) tackles as well as tackles per game (12.1). He has intercepted a pair of passes on the year.
