Maggie Waxter, Washington and Lee, So., Attack

Waxter, a sophomore from Baltimore, Md., helped the Generals to a 3-1 week by scoring one goal in each contest this week.  She has also now scored in all five of W&L's games in 2014, with her five tallies tying for the most scored by a General in all of 2013.  Waxter a goal each in wins over Transylvania (5-0) and Hendrix (3-1), followed by one more in a loss to Rhodes (2-1).  Her final tally of the week proved to be the game-winner in a 4-2 triumph over Sewannee.  All four Generals' wins came on the road.

Field Hockey Honor Roll

Taylor Prillaman, Bridgewater (Jr., A - Bear, Del.)
Prillaman scored both goals in the Eagles 2-0 victory at McDaniel.  Both tallies came in the second half, with one following a one-hour and 38-minute weather delay.

Elaine Ritschard, Lynchburg (Fr., D - Oley, Pa.)
Ritschard coverted a penalty stroke to give the Hornets a 2-1 win against Alvernia in LC's 1-1 week.

Sarah Brock, Shenandoah (Jr., M - Chesterfield, Va.)
Brock had an assist in a 2-0 win over Hood and scored the first goal in a 2-0 victory at Washington & Jefferson.  She also played a large role in the defensive effort that held both opponents without a shot on goal.
