Katerina DeSimone, Roanoke, So., Defender

DeSimone, a sophomore from Huntington, N.Y., gave Roanoke its first win of the season in a 2-1 triumph at Hood.  With less than three minutes to play in regulation, the Maroons defender found the back of the cage to break a 1-1 tie.  The goal is the first career tally in a Maroons uniform for DeSimone.

Field Hockey Honor Roll

Melissa Cox, Eastern Mennonite (Jr. A - Mountville, Pa.)
In the Royals 1-1 week, Cox assisted on both EMU goals in a 2-1 victory over Bethany (W.Va.).

Carrie Jacobs, Randolph-Macon (Sr., A - Orange, Va.)
Jacobs scored once against Rhodes (L, 3-1) and assisted on a goal against Haverford (L, 4-2) in the Yellow Jackets three games last week.

Jenna Rampale, Shenandoah (Fr., GK - Lindenhurst, Ill.)
In three games guarding the Hornets' cage, Rampale made 35 total saves, including a program-record 25 in a 3-2 loss at Mary Washington.

Lindsay Baker, Virginia Wesleyan (Sr., GK - Havertown, Pa.)
Baker helped the Marlins to a 1-1 week by allowing just three goals and making 23 saves.  She had eight stops in a 2-1 win against Frostburg St., and a posted a career-best 15 stops in a 3-0 loss to Washington College.
