  • W&L's Kanaby, Townsend, Carralero, Lynchburg's Self, BC's Bartley Highlight All-ODAC Women's Golf Awards

    Washington and Lee University earned three major individual honors and Generals occupied a league-best four all-conference positions to headline the 2019-20 All-ODAC Women's Golf Awards. W&L first-year standout Megan Kanaby was tabbed the ODAC Golfer of the Year, while teammate Beth Ann Townsend earned her second straight ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurances Scholar-Athlete of the Year laurel. Generals first-year head coach Kelsie Carralero garnered ODAC Coach of the Year accolades. University of Lynchburg first-year Lily Self received ODAC Rookie of the Year recognition, while Bridgewater College senior Jesse Bartley was selected as the ODAC Sportswoman of the Year.

    Depth of talent reigns in ODAC men's golf as the conference announces the 2020 Men's Golf Coaches' Poll. The top-three teams in the annual survey all feature inside the nation's top-25 published by Golfstat.com. Hampden-Sydney College tops the ODAC chart with 117 points powered by eight first place votes. Guilford College sits second with 113 markers and three top nods. Defending champion Washington and Lee University slots third with 103 tallies including the remaining first place consideration.

    The ODAC's second-youngest sport announces its first coaches poll as women's golf opens its eighth spring campaign under the conference's banner. Two-time defending champion Washington and Lee University earns top-billing in the inaugural coaches' survey, picking up 54 points including nine first place votes. Bridgewater College sits second with 45 tallies and the remaining top nod, and the University of Lynchburg rounds out the top-three with 39 markers.

Earning this week's ODAC Women's Golfer of the Week honor is Lily Self from the University of Lynchburg.
