Graves, a freshman from Christiansburg, Virginia, won the Triple Jump and 400-meter dash at the Marietta College Open 1 last weekend. Graves also finished 3rd overall in the 200-meter dash. Her time of 1:01.18 currently ranks her 2nd in the conference in the event. Her leap of 34'8" also ranks her 2nd in the TJ in the ODAC.
Women's Indoor Track Honor Roll
Gabrielle Smith, Guilford College, Freshman - Throws
Smith placed 13th among 15 contestants in the
shot put at the Appalachian Indoor Open with a throw of 7.99
meters... placed second among three Division III contestants in a
field of mostly Division I and some Division II competitors...
placed 14th among 15 contestants in the weight throw
with a toss of 6.37 meters.
LaCear Hubbard, Lynchburg College, Freshman -
Hurdles/Jumps/Sprints
Hubbard leaped 4.96 meters in the long jump, and ran times
of 10.10 in the 60-meter hurdles and 8.52 in the 60-meter dash
Saturday at the University of Maryland.
Robin Yerkes, Roanoke College, Senior - Sprints
Yerkes won the 55 meter with a time of 7.48 and went on to
also win the 200 meter with a time of 26.85.
