Graves, a sophomore from Christiansburg, Va., competed in five events at the Vince Brown Invitational. She set a new Roanoke record in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:20.25, which is 4.19 seconds faster than any time in the ODAC this season. She placed third overall and second in D-III ranks in the event. Her leap of 16'1" in the long jump was 16th overall, but third amongst D-III competitors. She also competed in the triple jump, posting a mark of 34'4.25" to place seventh overall and second in D-III competition. She finished by running a leg on the Maroons' 4x400-meter relay team, helping RC to a program season-best time of 4:14.83.

Olivia Mills, Bridgewater, Sophomore
Mills set two new BC records Saturday at the Vince
Brown Invitational. Mills placed 10th in a field of 49
runners and broke the BC record in the 800 with a time of 2:24.98,
two seconds better than the old mark. She placed ninth out of 41
runners (first among D-III Runners) in the mile and breaking her
own record with a time of 5:13.73. She shaved almost seven seconds
off her previous best.
Taylor Stokes, Guilford College, Freshman
Stokes set two school records at the Vince Brown
Invitational Feb. 12… ran the mile in a record time of
5:34.92, which was the 21st-fastest time in the
42-runner field. She shaved nearly a second over her previous
school record in the mile and had the second-best time among NCAA
Division III runners… also ran the 3,000 meters in 11:00.38,
28.65 seconds better than her previous record… placed
11th in the 18-runner field, third among Division III
contestants.
Christina Washington, Lynchburg, Junior
Washington took second in the 400-meter dash in 59.46 at
UNC Saturday, setting a new ODAC top time in the process.
Marissa Thompson, Washington and Lee, Sophomore
Thompson earned a pair of Top 5 finishes at the
Lafayette/Rider Winter Games on Friday, settting a school-record in
the 200-meter dash (26.28s) in the process. She also jumped
16'9.25" in the long jump.
