Smith a senior from Bassett, Va., placed third in the 5000-meter run with a time of 18:44.96 at the Thompson Invitational at the University of Delaware.  She also helped the Hornets to a ninth place showing in the 4x400-meter relay, which set a new school record time of 4:35.45 (4:42.08).

Women's Indoor Track Honor Roll

Jasmine O'Neill, Guilford, Freshman, Mid-Distance
O'Neill broke her own school record in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:40.61, the 11th-best time in the ODAC this year.  She placed 20th in the race.  O’Neill also ran on Guilford’s 4x400-meter relay team, which placed 18th in 5:11.67.

Cat Wallace, Lynchburg, Sophomore, Pentathlon
Wallace placed 15th among all pentathlon athletes over the weekend at the Liberty University Invitational. She scored 2328 points and was first among all Division III athletes in the event.

Annelise Madison, Washington and Lee, Sophomore, Mid-Distance
Madison finished first overall in 1000-meter run at the Liberty Open & Multi’s with a time of 3:08.89.
