LaCear Hubbard, Lynchburg, Junior, Jumps/Sprints

Hubbard, a junior from Madison Heights, Va., won the triple jump and the long jump competitions on Saturday at the VMI Winter Relays.  Hubbard jumped 36'7" in the triple jump and 17'9.5" in the long jump.  She currently sits 23rd in the nation in the triple jump and 27th in the long jump. Hubbard also finished second in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.60. Hubbard sits atop the ODAC in the long jump and triple jump standings after her performances on Saturday.

Women's Indoor Track Honor Roll

Jordan Pitchford, Bridgewater, Freshman, Sprints, Jumps
Pitchford won the high jump and placed third in the 55 meters at the VMI Winter Relays. Pitchford cleared a personal best 5 feet, ¼ inch in the high jump to win the event. She is now second in the ODAC in the event. She ran 7.88 seconds in the 55 meters to place third. Pitchford is ranked in the Top 15 in the ODAC in six different events.

Amanda Theall, Shenandoah, Junior, Throws
Theall set a new school record in the weight at Virginia Tech with the 33rd best throw in DIII this season… came in fourth in a 15-woman event that had just one other non-DI competitor.

Courtney Mebane, Virginia Wesleyan, Sophomore, Sprints/Hurdles
Mebane helped lead the VWC women to a fourth place finish in the Mason-Dixon Championship with a pair of VWC-record setting efforts...she placed second in the prelims of the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.51 and third in the finals at 9.52....she also ran a leg in the 4x400 relay which finished third in 4:08.28, another VWC record.
