Griffey, a junior from Mechanicsville, Va., improved his stock in the shot put at the Virginia Tech Challenge over the weekend. Griffey tossed the shot 13.74 meters (45' 1.0") to finish fourth overall and first among NCAA Division III competitors. He is now ranked fourth in the ODAC heading into this coming weekend's championships.

Hedrick competed twice at the UCS Invitational, taking to the long and triple jumps. He posted the longest GC long jump of the season at 6.11 meters, which placed 11th overall and third amonst D3 competition. He added a 12.56 meters showing in the triple jump, placing seventh overall and tops amongst D3 competitors.
