Taylor, a senior from Norfolk, Va., was busy and successful at the Captains Invitational and Combined Events hosted by Christopher Newport University. Taylor competed in four events including three jumps and a sprint with three top-five finishers. She won the triple jump at 10.56 meters (34-7.75), which would be second in the ODAC if not for her previous mark of 10.59 earlier this season. Taylor added a third place finish in the long jump at 5.14 meters (16-10.50), which ties for second in the ODAC. She also placed fifth in the high jump at 1.51 meters (4-11.50), which slots third in the league. On the track, Taylor competed in the 60-meter dash and finished sixth with a time of 8.26 seconds, which is tied for fourth-fastest in the ODAC.

Women's Indoor Track - Field Athletes Honor Roll

A'lexus Newkirk, GC: competed in the long jump and 60m dash at the Wake Forest Invitational. Placed 31st overall in the long jump at 4.20 meters (13-9.50) and 68th in the 60m at 9.04 seconds.

Lindsey Baxter, RC: twice set the school record in the pole vault at the Keydet Invitational. First set the mark at 3.15 meters (10-4.00) before finishing at 3.30 meters (10-10.00) to tie for ninth overall. That mark is first in the ODAC and 44th in Division III this season.
