Jaylyn Lane, Virginia Wesleyan, Sr.

Lane, a senior from Portsmouth, Va., continued her upward trend towards the top of the conference in multiple field and track events following an excellent day at the Richard Drake Invitational hosted by Virginia Wesleyan University. Lane finished fourth overall in the long jump at 5.41 meters (17-9.00), breaking the VWU record set by Rolonda Taylor (5.33m) at the 2018 ODAC Championships. Lane's leap is now first in the ODAC and ranks 26th in NCAA Division III. She also owns the top mark in the triple jump (11.90m), setting the ODAC record in that event earlier this year. Lane also competed in the 60-meter dash and 4x400-meter relay this weekend. She finished 14th in the dash at 8.08 seconds. She and her teammates finished fourth in the relay at 4:20.18.
