Garritt Schwarz, Roanoke, Fr. Attack

Schwarz, a freshman from Tallahassee, Fla., announced his presence without much doubt in his first collegiate game, racking up nine points in the Maroons' 15-10 season-opening win over Colorado College. Schwarz found the back of the net eight times and dished out an assist. He also picked up four ground balls. He registered five of Roanoke's seven goals in a decisive third period in which RC broke open a 5-4 halftime-edge.

Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll

Phelan Burns, BC: registered six points in his first collegiate game, helping Bridgewater to a 25-2 season-opening victory with four goals and two assists to go with a ground ball.

George Faller, GC: scored the first three goals of his collegiate career in an 87-second span of the fourth quarter in the Quakers 10-7 loss at Sewanee. Added a pair of ground balls.

Andrew Thomas, LC: scored four times in the Hornets 14-11 setback to Franklin & Marshall.

Miles Muncie, R-MC: scored twice in the Yellow Jackets 14-6 loss to Mary Washington. He then beat the keeper four times and added four ground balls in R-MC's 15-10 setback at Catholic.

Ryan Schott, SU: posted a seven-point week in helping SU to a 1-1 showing a win over Averett (23-1) a loss at Mary Washington (17-6). Had one goal and four assists against AU and scored twice with five ground balls at UMW.

Joey Rayman, VWU: scored five goals and dished out three assists with two ground balls in the Marlins 13-8 victory at Greensboro.
