"On behalf of Julie and our children, we are extremely happy to lead the Lynchburg College Cross Country and Track & Field teams and become a part of the Lynchburg community," Haupt said. "The opportunity to work for (long-time track coach and current director of athletics) Dr. Jack Toms and an institution that shares my vision for student-athletes along with incredible fan support makes this a great situation. I look forward to the challenge of working in a program that possesses an extensive history of producing championship caliber teams and student-athletes."
