Nafziger, a sophomore from Harrisonburg, Va., tried his hand at the 3000-meter steeplechase on Saturday, and broke the school record in the event in his first try. Nafziger crossed in 9:55.04, breaking the EMU record of 9:55.26, whicih was set by Lynn Stoltzfus in 1994. His time is the sixth fastest in the ODAC this season and one of only six marks to crack the 10-minute mark.

Tim Wisniewski, Bridgewater, Junior, Mid-Distance
Wisniewski ran a career best time Saturday in the 800
at the Patriot Open. Wisniewski an a 1:58.31 – the seventh
fastest time in the ODAC this season.
Tucker Cunningham, Roanoke, Sophomore, Sprints,
Hurdles
Cunningham placed 14th overall and was the only NCAA Division III
runner in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.56, just off his
season-best. He later went on to post a 51.84 time in the
400-meter dash, his best of the season.
