Greg Wilson, Lynchburg, Junior

Wilson, a junior from Sagamore Beach, Mass., won a pair of throwing events and finished second in a third at the Doc Jopson Invitational hosted by Bridgewater College.  Wilson won the shot put competition by over two feet, posting a mark of 14.73 meters (48' 4.0").  He went on to win the hammer throw, setting a new ODAC top distance at 47.48 meters (155' 9.0").  That mark topped the second-best throw by more than 13 feet.  Wilson capped his day by missing his third victory by just 10 inches in the discus, as he tossed the apparatus 41.61 meters (136' 6.0").

Men's Outdoor Track & Field Honor Roll

Luke Sohl, Bridgewater College - (Sophomore, Distance - Burke, Va)
At the Doc Jopson Invitational this past weekend held at Bridgewater College, Sohl finished in first place in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:59.21, setting a new facility record. With that time, the Burke, Va. native is currently leading the conference in the event and is also ranked #7 in the nation.

A.J. Bernstein, Roanoke -
(Junior, - Germantown, TN)
Bernstein took third place overall in the 1,500-meter run with a personal best time of 4:02 in the Doc Jopson invitational.

Chad Norton, Guilford College -
(Jr., - Walled Lake, Mich.)
Norton competed in three events at the VertKlasse Meeting hosted by High Point University.  He was the top D3 finisher in the mile run (4:23.41), placing 11th overall and breaking the Guilford record.  That time converts to 4:03.90 in the 1,500-meter run ranks, fifth in the conference.  He placed 19th in the 800-meter run (2:00.99), and helped his GC teammates to a seventh placing showing in the 4x400-meter relay (3:37.54).

Randy Lott, Virginia Wesleyan College -
(Junior, Sprinter - Virginia Beach)
Lott placed in the top seven in four events at the W&L Carnival.  He placed second in the 200-meter dash (21.79), marking the fastest time in the ODAC.  He also placed third in the 100-meter dash (11.02) and helped his teammates to a sixth-place showing in the 4x100-meter (43.58) and 4x400-meter (3:24.76) relays.  The 4x400 team set a new VWC record.
