Trice, a freshman from Glen Allen, Va., competed in four events at the Doc Jopson Invitational, the first outdoor meet of her collegiate career. She won twice, posting new ODAC top marks along the way. Trice captured the win in the high jump with a mark of 1.53 meters (5' 0.25"), which is tied for 43rd in the country. She added a gold medal in the triple jump with a leap of 11.07 meters (36' 4.0"), ranking 10th in NCAA Division III. Trice added a fourth place finish in the long jump (4.77m; 15' 7.75"), posting a personal season-best distance. She also competed in the 100-meter dash, placing ninth in 14.08 seconds.

Hannah Chappell-Dick, Eastern Mennonite

Chappell-Dick set a pair of EMU records over the weekend.
She placed third in the 1,500-meter run at the W&L Carnival in
4:47.12, beating the previous EMU record by more than six
seconds. She did the same in the 800-meter run at the Doc
Jopson Invitational, winning the event with a time of
2:18.23. That also established an ODAC top time.
Rachel Flint, Guilford College - (Jr., -
Spruce Pine, N.C.)
At High Point University's VertKlasse Meeting flint placed 19th
overall and 2nd among D3 competitors in the 400-meter dash,
breaking the GC record with a time of 1:09.49. She held the
previous mark, which she eclipsed by 0.36 seconds at High
Point.
Kori Penick, Lynchburg College -
(Senior, Thrower - Amherst, VA)
Penick won a pair of events and finished fifth in a third at the
Doc Jopson Invitational. She won the shot put by four feet
with a toss of 12.50 meters (41' 0.25"). She added a victory
in the discus by three feet with a throw of 33.64 meters (110'
4.0"). She went to finish fifth in the hammer throw with a
personal best effort of 34.72 meters (113' 11.0").
Sam Clowser, Roanoke - (Jr, Throws -
Salem, VA)
Clowser set a personal-best and won the hammer throw at the Doc
Jopson invitational with a mark of 46.20 meters (151' 7.0"). She
went on to place fifth in the discus (29.95m), sixth in the shot
put (10.18m) and eighth in the javelin (22.70m).
Liz Wade, Virginia Wesleyan College -
(Sophomore, Distance - Chesapeake, Va.)
Wade finished seventh in the 10,000-meter run at the W&L
Carnival, posting a time of 39:42.61. That broke the VWC
record of 39:46.9 set by Ashley Roane in 2008.
Annelise Madison, Washington and Lee -
(Jr., - Roca, Neb.)
At the W&L Carnival on Friday and Saturday, Madison took
second in the 1,500-meter run at 4:43.73, with only a Division I
athlete besting her by three seconds. She also finished third in
the 800-meter run with a time of 2:19.69. The 1500m time is the
fastest in the ODAC this year, and the 800m is the
second-fastest.
