Murray, a senior from Chesapeake, Va., competed in three throwing events at the outdoor season-opening Wendy's Seahawk Invitational hosted by UNC-Wilmington. Murray won the javelin at 36.94 meters (121-2.00). She added a fourth place showing in the hammer throw at 40.04 meters (131-4.00), and placed fifth in the discus at 34.86 meters (114-4.00). Her discus mark is the ninth longest throw all-time at Lynchburg. Each of Murray's throws this weekend would have been top-five in 2018. Her discus and javelin marks would have been second-best a season ago.
