Schannauer, a senior from Sinking Spring, Pa., competed in three throwing events and snapped a school-record as part of a strong outing at the W&L Carnival hosted by Washington and Lee. Schannauer won the shot put with a toss of 14.27 meters (46-10.00), establishing a new Shenandoah standard for the event. That mark is more than a foot longer than the second-best showing in the conference and ranks 14th in Division III in the early going. Schannauer also took part in the discus and hammer throw. He placed sixth in the discus with an ODAC third-best mark of 40.25 meters (132-1.00). He chimed in 10th in the hammer at 41.00 meters (134-6.00).
