  • All-ODAC Swimming Teams Announced
    March 02, 2012
    Following its 22nd ODAC title last month in Greensboro, Washington and Lee saw 10 Generals earn recognition on the All-ODAC First Team in an announcement of the full All-ODAC Swimming Teams. Randolph-Macon earned four honors, while Hollins and ODAC newcomer Greensboro College rounded out the 16-woman first team with one honor each.

    Did you miss the 2012 ODAC Swimming Championships? No problem! Watch this video for a recap of the three day event at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C. Washington and Lee captured its fifth straight and 22nd overall conference crown. Greensboro College's Emma Phillips was tabbed the ODAC Swimmer of the Year.
  • Generals Win ODAC Swimming Title

    Washington and Lee won four more events on Sunday evening to help itself towards 992 total points and its fifth straight ODAC swimming crown. Randolph-Macon finished second with 740 points, and Sweet Briar rounded out the top three with 373 points over the three day affair at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.
  • W&L Extends Lead at Swimming Champs

    Washington and Lee University won five of the seven events competed on day two of the 2012 ODAC Swimming Championships, increasing the Generals lead to 169 points (658-489) over Randolph-Macon College . Sweet Briar College made a jump into third (244), leap-frogging Bridgewater College (239) and Greensboro College (160).

    Washington and Lee University won three of the five events competed during the first day of the 2012 ODAC Swimming Championships. Randolph-Macon College and Greensboro secured the other two wins as two ODAC and meet records fell on Friday in the Greensboro Aquatic Center. Dana Fredericks (pictured) was involved in one those record-setting performances.
  • 2012 ODAC Championship Preview

    The 2012 ODAC Swimming Championships are set to begin on Friday, February 10 and continue through championship Sunday. The Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C., will serve as host for the three day affair. This season's event is the first being swum entirely under the ODAC banner as the conference's eight participating teams compete for the crown.
  • Generals Head ODAC Swimming Poll

    In a season that will feature plenty of new offerings with two new programs added to the ODAC's swimming contingent, one item remains constant. Washington and Lee was selected atop the ODAC Swimming Preseason Poll as the Generals are favored to win their 22nd conference crown. They welcome back 13 All-ODAC swimmers, including six first team selections.
  • ODAC Swimming Adds New Members

    For the second year in a row, the ODAC is increasing its ranks. Greensboro College and Notre Dame of Maryland University will become associate members of the ODAC and participate in women's swimming only. The inclusion of the two institutions was ratified at the annual meeting of ODAC Presidents this week. Both schools will begin conference competition this fall.
  • Griffore Selected to E&H Swimming Post

    Dave Griffore, a former Division I head and assistant swim coach will assume the duties of Head Women's Swimming Coach/Aquatics Coordinator at Emory & Henry College later this fall, Director of Athletics Myra Sims announced Friday.
  • Kintzer to Coach R-MC Swimming

    Randolph-Macon College Director of Athletics Jeff Burns announced on Wednesday that Brent Kintzer has been named the new Head Men's and Women's Swimming Coach for the Yellow Jackets. Kintzer comes back to R-MC after a three-year stint as an assistant coach at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
