AMHERST, Va. -- The 20th-ranked and top-seeded Washington and Lee women's tennis team advances to the ODAC Championship match after defeating fourth-seeded Bridgewater, 5-0, on Saturday morning at Sweet Briar.
The Generals swept all three doubles matches to enter the singles round with a 3-0 advantage. Junior Allison Hupalo and senior captain Claire Cahill then won at No. 5 and 6 singles positions, respectively, to claim the victory.
With the win, W&L improved to 16-2 on the year, while the Eagles ended their season with a 12-5 overall record.
The Blue and White now advance to the ODAC Championship game on Sunday, where it will face the winner of the No. 2 Roanoke/No. 3 Randolph-Macon match at 10:00 am.
