Randolph-Macon Men’s Soccer Blanks Emory & Henry, 5-0, With Strong Second Half Sunday

EMORY, Va. – The Randolph-Macon College Men's Soccer Team (2-0, 2-0 ODAC) scored all five of their goals in the final 30 minutes as they picked up a 5-0 win against Emory & Henry College (0-3, 0-3 ODAC) Sunday afternoon in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action.

How It Happened
- After a scoreless hour of play, the Yellow Jackets struck in the 63rd minute as Connor Lorenz tallied an unassisted goal. RMC scored again 2:09 later with Chazz Jones feeding Austin Fattizzi for a score.
- Lorenz made it a 3-0 contest at the 73:10 mark, assisted by Colon Howell.
- Ruben Niamien capped the scoring for the Jackets with goals in the 85th and 90th minutes. Fattizzi assisted on his first conversion.

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Junior forward Jeff Hurlock (Fredericksburg, Va.) and sophomore forward Zeke Workman (Dalzell, S.C.) both tallied shots on goal for the Wasps.
- Sophomore Spencer Scott (Stephens City, Va.) made three saves in the opening half for E&H while sophomore Derek Akers (Hiwassee, Va.) stopped two shots in the closing 45 minutes.

Randolph-Macon Individual Leaders
- Lorenz and Niamien each scored their two goals on three shots while Penny Senior led the way with seven attempts.
- Anthony Ivanov and Mike Deal combined for the shutout in goal, as Ivanov made a pair of saves.

A Deeper Look
- Randolph-Macon held a 21-4 shot advantage, 12 of which came after the break.
- The Yellow Jackets also led, 7-2, on corner kicks.
- The E&H back line caused RMC to commit nine offside violations on the afternoon.
